Company Overview

XNRGY Climate Systems is a leading North American provider of sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air handling and liquid cooling systems. With decades of HVAC engineering and manufacturing experience, XNRGY delivers innovative, energy-efficient solutions for mission-critical environments, including data centers, healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical labs, semiconductor clean rooms, EV battery manufacturers, and life sciences facilities.

XNRGY has operations in Montreal, Canada and Mesa, Arizona, and is continuing to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint to support the rapid growth of AI, data center infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.

Be Present. Build Trust. Support the Shift.

XNRGY is seeking a hands-on HR Business Partner, Night Shift to support our growing manufacturing operations in Mesa, Arizona. This role will serve as the primary HR partner for night shift employees and leaders, ensuring consistent communication, support, accountability, and employee relations coverage outside of day shift hours.

This is not an HR role that can be done entirely from an office. It requires regular presence on the production floor, strong relationships with frontline leaders and employees, and the ability to solve people-related issues in real time.

If you know how to build trust with hourly teams, coach supervisors, bring consistency to employee relations, and support a growing operation from the floor, this is where you make your impact.

Position Overview

Reporting to the Vice President, HR, the HRBP, Night Shift will provide dedicated HR support to XNRGY’s Mesa night shift manufacturing operations. This role will operate as both a business partner and HR generalist, supporting employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compliance, engagement, onboarding, and change management.

The successful candidate will be visible on the floor, approachable to employees, trusted by leaders, and comfortable operating in a fast-growing manufacturing environment where structure, consistency, and communication are critical.

What You’ll Own

  • Night Shift HR Partnership: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for night shift employees, supervisors, and operations leaders.

  • Employee Relations: Address employee concerns, support conflict resolution, conduct fact-finding as needed, and help maintain a respectful, fair, and productive work environment.

  • Leadership Coaching: Coach supervisors and managers on performance conversations, attendance issues, corrective action, documentation, and policy interpretation.

  • Floor Presence: Spend regular time on the production floor to build trust, understand employee concerns, and support leaders in real time.

  • Performance Management: Support leaders in reinforcing expectations, documenting issues, recognizing strong performance, and developing employees.

  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure consistent application of HR policies and employment practices while supporting compliance with applicable laws and company standards.

  • Workforce Support: Partner with operations and talent acquisition to support staffing, onboarding, retention, shift coverage, and workforce planning.

  • Communication & Engagement: Help strengthen communication across shifts and support initiatives that improve engagement, accountability, and connection to XNRGY’s broader mission.

First 12 Months

In the first 12 months, the HRBP, Night Shift will be expected to:

  • Learn XNRGY’s products, production processes, culture, policies, and operating expectations.

  • Build trust with night shift employees, supervisors, and site leadership through visibility, consistency, and follow-through.

  • Support the shift by ensuring night shift employees and leaders have timely HR guidance, communication, and issue resolution.

  • Strengthen frontline leadership by coaching supervisors on accountability, employee relations, documentation, attendance, and performance management.

  • Drive consistency in policies, expectations, communication, and employee experience across shifts.

  • Support growth through hiring, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning as Mesa operations continue to scale.

Who You Are

  • You are an HR professional who understands that strong employee relations are built through visibility, consistency, fairness, and trust.

  • You are comfortable supporting hourly employees and frontline leaders in real time, balancing employee advocacy with business needs and operational expectations.

  • You are confident coaching supervisors through difficult conversations, performance issues, attendance concerns, and policy matters.

  • You are practical, calm under pressure, and comfortable bringing structure to a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3–7 years of progressive HR experience in an HR generalist, HR business partner, or employee relations role.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or other hourly workforce environments is strongly preferred.

  • Experience supporting night shift, off-shift, or multi-shift operations is highly desirable.

  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, documentation, investigations, and compliance.

  • Proven ability to coach frontline leaders on employee issues, accountability, communication, and performance expectations.

  • Comfortable spending meaningful time on the manufacturing floor.

  • Strong communication, judgment, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. HR certification is considered an asset.
