XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air treatment and liquid cooling systems. We deliver innovative, energy-efficient solutions for industries such as hyperscale data centers, healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical labs, semiconductor clean rooms, EV battery manufacturers, and life sciences facilities. We are expanding rapidly, with two new state-of-the-art production facilities in Mesa, Arizona launching in 2025.

As part of this expansion, we are seeking a SolidWorks Mechanical Designer with strong proficiency in 3D modeling. This role involves extensive 3D modeling work, including heavy modification and optimization of complex models, alongside the creation and revision of detailed technical drawings to support manufacturing, assembly, and installation. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable designs efficiently.

Main responsibilities:

• Perform extensive 3D modeling in SolidWorks, including the creation, modification, and optimization of complex parts and assemblies.

• Efficiently handle a high volume of changes: revise and optimize existing 3D models and drawings based on engineering change orders, production feedback, quality findings, and customer requirements.

• Create and maintain accurate 2D engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and submittal packages from 3D models.

• Work closely with the production team to resolve design and manufacturing issues by updating models and drawings to improve manufacturability, assembly, and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with the quality department to analyze nonconformities and implement corrective actions through model and drawing revisions.

• Interpret sketches, specifications, design briefs, and industry standards to develop and refine 3D models and technical documentation.

• Develop detailed layouts to define dimensions, tolerances, fits, and clearances.

• Maintain accurate BOMs, drawing revisions, and design documentation in an organized and traceable manner.

• Participate in design and manufacturing reviews, providing technical input and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is required.

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience with SolidWorks, with demonstrated strong proficiency in 3D modeling, modifying, and optimizing complex models and assemblies.

• Solid experience creating and revising detailed production drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving/technical judgment skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical information and design decisions to cross-functional teams (production, quality, engineering, etc.).

• Able to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent habits in file management and documentation control.
