Purpose of the Role:
As the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, you will support long-range planning, capital management, budgeting, and forecasting to help the entities within the Svante Enterprise achieve their strategic goals. You will oversee key internal reporting, budgeting, and planning systems, and you will lead the company’s budgeting program—driving accurate forecasting to enable effective financial management.
You will partner closely with operational leaders across the organization, using your insights to influence business decisions at all levels. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning financial strategies with enterprise-wide objectives, ensuring that financial planning is both proactive and responsive to the company’s evolving needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You bring a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance, with continued studies or certification in finance considered an asset.
- You bring strong financial management experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- You are proficient with business systems, including financial platforms like Vena and dashboarding tools such as Power BI.
- You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, contributing both high-level perspective and deep financial expertise.
- You will analyze and synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights, with strong attention to detail.
- You will communicate clearly and credibly at all levels, influencing decisions and aligning stakeholders through constructive dialogue.
- You will manage time effectively, prioritize cross-functional deliverables, and work collaboratively across teams.
- You will build and maintain strong relationships across the enterprise, acting as a trusted partner to operations and influencing decisions through financial insight.
- You will lead and inspire others—whether directly or through influence—to solve complex challenges and drive innovation.
What Success looks like in this role:
- Drive Financial Planning: You’ll lead the development of a transparent and strategic budgeting framework, producing accurate forecasts for operational and capital spending. Your work will directly inform our corporate model and support liquidity management and capital planning.
- Support Strategic Execution: Working closely with the VP of Corporate Development and the C-Suite, you’ll help translate our company vision into actionable plans. You’ll align financial resources with strategic goals and ensure business units are working toward shared objectives.
- Be a Trusted Business Partner: You’ll collaborate with departments across Svante to understand their goals and align them with available capital. You’ll also coach budget owners to improve forecasting skills and build a culture of financial ownership.
- Deliver Insightful Financial Analysis: You’ll analyze budget variances, identify trends, and build dashboards that provide real-time insights to senior leaders. Your work will help drive cost management, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
- Lead Financial Processes: You’ll own the financial performance narrative for monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews. You’ll manage our budgeting tools (like Vena), improve processes, and develop cost accounting frameworks that enhance accountability.
- Be a Team Leader: You will lead and mentor team members, as well as support hiring, training, and performance management in line with company policies and values.
