Purpose of the Role:
As a Laminate Development Co-op, you are a curious, hands-on learner. You enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and collaborating with a team to improve how things are made. You’re excited by the idea of working on a roll-to-roll manufacturing line, slurry mixing and contributing to the development of innovative processes and products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- You have a strong interest in manufacturing processes and hands-on experimentation.
- You have basic understanding of process engineering principles and data analysis.
- You are comfortable working in a lab or production environment.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic data tools.
What Success looks like in this role:
- You will develop processes and optimize process parameters for slurry formation and laminate development.
- You will become a reliable contributor to the process development team, supporting trials and experiments with precision and care.
- You will demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities for process improvements and suggesting practical solutions.
- You will maintain thorough and accurate documentation of your work, enabling reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- You will collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and other team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
