Purpose of the Role:

As the Project Controls Co-op, you will support project management by tracking timelines, collaborating on cost analysis and project baselining, and ensuring smooth communication with cross-functional teams. You will also be involved in preparing detailed reports on project progress and risks, while assisting with invoicing and maintaining strict adherence to deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are currently perusing a degree in engineering or project management.
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Primavera P6 and Power BI.
  • You have understanding of different types of contracts and how project controls handle them accordingly.
  • You have knowledge in project controls fundamentals such as WBS, CBS and earned value management.

What Success looks like in this role:

  • You will communicate with cross functional teams, including management, regularly regarding the status of projects and operations.
  • You will collaborate with estimating to help baseline future projects for viability assessment, to analyze change requests in project costs, and to assist in requests for proposal.
  • You will assist with invoicing review and approval.
  • You will track project timelines and deadlines meticulously, making adjustments as needed to prevent delays.
  • You will prepare and present reports that outline project progress, financial standing, and any potential risks or deviations from the plan.
