THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Asset Performance Coordinator to join our team in Houston. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance of our solar assets by coordinating with the field operations team. The Asset Performance Coordinator will handle a variety of tasks, similar to a scheduler, but with expanded responsibilities to support the field operations and asset performance management.

The Asset Performance Coordinator will focus on the meticulous planning and coordination of operations and maintenance tasks, as well as the scheduling of special project site visits, including meter swaps. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with the ability to manage logistics and adapt to the dynamic needs of the Asset Performance crew. The coordinator will ensure that all activities align with project and operational goals, resources are utilized efficiently, and maintenance jobs are executed to uphold the integrity and performance of the solar and storage systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and Maintain Schedules: Create and maintain detailed schedules for all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective work orders.

  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize work orders and allocate resources effectively.

  • Utilize Management Systems: Use maintenance management systems to track work orders, monitor progress, and report on maintenance activities.

  • Procurement Collaboration: Collaborate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary parts and equipment for scheduled maintenance.

  • Support Field Asset Teams: Provide detailed job plans and schedules to the field asset team(s) for efficient execution in the field.

  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols during the scheduling and execution of maintenance tasks.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements to maintenance strategies and practices.

  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with contractors, electricians, designers, and project managers to ensure smooth operations.

  • Homeowner Interaction: Communicate directly with homeowners to coordinate maintenance visits and address any concerns or questions.

  • Special Projects: Plan and schedule special project site visits, including meter swaps, ensuring all logistics are managed effectively.

  • Primary Contact: Serve as the primary coordination contact between the Houston office and the field operations team in New Jersey, facilitating clear and effective communication.

  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of asset performance, maintenance schedules, and work orders using our asset management software.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular performance reports and assist in analyzing data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the field operations team, including managing documentation, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Issue Resolution: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure swift and effective resolution.

  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned, even if not specifically listed above, to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in the solar industry.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • College degree in a related field preferred, not required.
