Qnergy is hiring an entry-level Field Service Technician to support our growing operations across Southwestern Pennsylvania. If you’re mechanically inclined, like working with your hands, and want a career—not just a job—this is a strong starting point.
You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, learn on real equipment, and build skills that translate across the energy and industrial space.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with installation, startup, and maintenance of remote power and instrument air systems.
- Support troubleshooting and basic repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections at customer sites.
- Learn how to diagnose issues and safely service equipment in the field.
- Help document service work and maintain accurate records.
- Deliver a professional, reliable experience to customers.
- Work closely with senior technicians and engineering to solve problems.
What You Bring
- Mechanical aptitude — you enjoy fixing things and figuring out how they work.
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience (construction, automotive, HVAC, or similar is helpful).
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a field environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability — you show up and follow through.
- Ability to read basic technical instructions or willingness to learn.
- Clear communication and a professional attitude on customer sites.
Nice to have, not required:
- Trade school or technical training.
- Basic safety certifications (First Aid, OSHA, etc.).
What the Job Looks Like
- Travel throughout Southwestern PA to customer sites.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Physical work, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
- On-the-job training with increasing responsibility over time.
- Participation in an on-call rotation as you ramp up.
Why This Role
This is a true entry point into field service. You won’t be stuck doing the same task every day. You’ll learn systems, build mechanical skills, and grow into a higher-level technician role.
If you’re looking for a path into a skilled trade with long-term growth, this is it.
