Description

Job Summary: IT Support is the primary Point of Contact for all IT related questions at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner while ensuring Qnergy’s computer systems are running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • IT Procurement: Assist in software and hardware procurement, releases and rollouts and communication to the end users.
  • Installing and configuring: Installing computer hardware, software, and operating systems, and configuring hardware and software
  • Administration and Maintaining: Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks, and updating drivers; performing regular computer maintenance
  • Troubleshooting: Analyzing, diagnosing, and solving hardware or software faults, and troubleshooting network problems
  • Supporting: Helping users set up systems, resolve issues, and answer questions; providing remote or in-person support to customers or employers, including over the phone, in person, or via chat
  • Evaluating: Assessing the compatibility of products like computers, software, and accessories
  • Training: Developing materials to train others on technical topics
  • Compliance: Participate in audits and compliance activities as the need arises.
  • Enterprise-wide support: Provide local support to other IT functions without site presence.
  • Provide remote support to other Qnergy locations and deployed field service personnel.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent; MCSE – Desktop Infrastructure or equivalent; HP, Dell or equivalent desktop/laptop certification.
  • 4+ years of meaningful experience in onsite IT support.
  • Hands-on experience with helpdesk systems, Windows workstations, MS Active Directory, VPN, Anti-virus, SCCM patching, and MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with IT technologies such as networking, servers, databases, security, and applications.
  • Proficiency in system administration and user documentation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware, including installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills. Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required. Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Some lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.
  • Regular use of a computer keyboard is required.
  • Employee regularly sits for a number of hours per shift.
  • This position requires the employee to be present in the office or on the job site, and therefore, attendance is an essential function of this position.
