Job Summery:

The CAD Designer/Drafter will be responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software within a PLM/PDM revision control and release management system. Precision and attention to detail will be crucial in producing accurate drawings that adhere to company and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed models and drawings for mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems based on specifications provided by engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure that designs meet technical and production requirements and standards.
• Revise drawings as necessary to incorporate feedback and ensure accuracy.
• Create schematics, layouts, and diagrams for various projects.
• Assist in the development of prototypes and models.
• Maintain documentation of all drawings and revisions.

Education & Experience:

• Experience in building and assembling mechanical components.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD Software such as SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER, MicroStation, or inventor.
• Detailed understanding and application of GD&T / ASME Y14.5

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of technical writing, codes, and standards.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret and create mechanical design drawings.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• This position requires the employee to be present in the office, and therefore, attendance is an essential function of the position.
