Description

The Field Service Tech will be responsible for creating a positive customer experience at various sites through installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Qnergy’s Instrument Air products and remote power generation. When not servicing equipment in the field, may be required to perform remote field support, system and component testing, system assembly and test, and write product and process documentation and lead training sessions. The technician will also need to communicate manufacturing and engineering issues discovered in the field and work as part of a cross-functional team to find solutions.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Must have Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing safe practices
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Exceptional ‘motoric’ and mechanical skills
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Good record keeping skills
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and disciplined
  • Basic knowledge of electronics
  • Ability to lead and direct trainings for customers
  • Advantage to have experience servicing air compressors, HVAC, and/or other rotating power equipment
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, plus verbal and written work instructions
  • Organized and able to multi-task in a changing environment without supervision
  • You have a professional presence, both online and in person, that allows you to build trust and nurture professional relationships

Education & Experience:

  • Technical Diploma in Engineering Discipline (i.e., Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, etc.) preferred
  • Advantage to have any safety certifications such as First Aid
  • 1 year of field experience

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records of activities, document new procedures and processes, and effectively communicate them to other cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work across a broad range of projects, work with minimal supervision both alone and in teams
  • Will be part of an on-call rotation requiring availability during non-standard hours, holidays, weekends
  • Extensive travel on short notice for extended time periods may be required, including weekends and holidays
