SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting will be directly responsible for supporting the Company’s external financial reporting and related technical accounting functions, including assisting with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and related disclosures), including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analyses to substantiate reported results and disclosures.
  • Research and document conclusions on technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
  • Assist with XBRL tagging and review of SEC filings.
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close process by preparing or reviewing key journal entries and reconciliations impacting financial reporting.
  • Participate in the design, documentation, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX compliance).
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects, including implementation of new accounting standards, system enhancements, or special reporting requests.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent) or 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with senior management

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • CPA in good standing preferred.
  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or related industry.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

· The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
· Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
· Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
