Summary Of The Role
The Sr. Planner & Scheduler position will support time management of EPC LNG Projects. Typically, the project cost is in the multi-billions of dollars with duration of up to five years. The main purpose of this role is to support the Schedule management of the Commissioning & Start Up phase of the LNG Project including the interface with ongoing Construction activities. This position is based at the Rio Grande LNG site in Brownsville, Texas.

Summary Of The Role
The Sr. Planner & Scheduler position will support time management of EPC LNG Projects. Typically, the project cost is in the multi-billions of dollars with duration of up to five years. The main purpose of this role is to support the Schedule management of the Commissioning & Start Up phase of the LNG Project including the interface with ongoing Construction activities. This position is based at the Rio Grande LNG site in Brownsville, Texas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and analyze contractors’ Progress /Earned Value reports related to CSU
- Review and analyze contractors’ monthly schedule updates.
- Integrate multiple schedules into a Master Project Schedule (MPS) utilizing Primavera P6.
- Update Schedules and perform critical path and variance analysis
- Analyze potential change orders and its impacts on project schedule
- Gather and analyze information to prepare status reports
- Identify adverse trends based on project performance
- Facilitate and participate in schedule reviews
- Prepare formal presentation related to project status.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly Schedule and progress Reports
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, and/or Engineering
- 15+years of relevant experience in planning and scheduling on Major EPC/Oil & Gas/Power/LNG projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Commissioning and Start Up phase of project
- Good understanding of Commissioning and Start Up procedures
- Understand LNG Project CSU activities at the System, Subsystem level and discipline level
- Be able to read and understand P&IDs
- Must be Advanced user of Primavera P6
- Good understating of planning and scheduling fundamentals such as CPM method, floats, constraints, relationship types
- Knowledge of Engineering and Construction techniques and relationships (logic) between various project phases as well as activities dependencies.
- Knowledge of project controls techniques for full project life cycle executions
- Ability to perform Earned Value calculations/analysis for CSU phase of the project
- Strong analytical skills, and advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations
- Advanced user of MS Excel. Good understanding of MS PowerPoint, and Word
- Good judgement, trust, and care in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to work independently and prioritize workload during peak periods.
- Ability to identify and implement actions with minimum directions
- This position is located at the project site at Brownsville, TX and may require ad hoc visits to NextDecade's Downtown Houston Office
- Experience with Completion Handover software such as WINPCS or similar
- Experience with Acumen Fuse is a plus.
- Experience with Milestone Professional is a plus.
- Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions
- Operates in a complex construction environment
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits
- Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction
- Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios
- Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations
- Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift
- The incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities
- Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance
- Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods
- May be required to enter confined spaces
- May be required to work at elevated heights and access elevated structures without assistance
