Summary Of The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain for Operations at Rio Grande LNG, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible to deliver a wide-range solution related to warehouse management processes and engage key shared services stakeholders to drive and improve service levels. The role will lead and manage the Warehouse Management team in support of Rio Grande LNG operations. The role will manage planning, control, storage and distribution of materials and products in a safe and efficient manner. The initial focus will be on developing warehouse management strategies to establish strategic solutions to drive commercial value and consistently meet company KPIs. Candidates shall demonstrate proven experience in managing teams of varying sizes, preferably in an operations environment, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for material management including the receipt, storage, custody, and issue of consumables, tools, bulks, spares, equipment, and materials. The role oversees materials management records and documentation, and SAP data entry relating to inventory management and logistics. This position is located in Brownsville, TX but will require frequent business travel to Houston initially.

Responsibilities
- Materials Management
- Manage quality assurance and control procedures to meet operational requirements.
- Ensure materials are received per specifications.
- Ensure materials are delivered to scope and schedule in accordance with procedures and policies.
- Analyze monthly Key Performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement productivity initiatives. Continuously evaluate deficiencies in controls, processes, and procedures and develop solutions and best practices.
- Develop actions to comply with performance metrics, efficiency targets, budget targets, inventory financial reconciliation, and audit compliance.
- Accountable for inventory item master data integrity and accuracy, inventory discrepancy analysis, and resolution.
- Manages MRP Min-Max inventories, consignments, and onsite service contractors.
- Support development of strategic plans for inventory management and distribution. Forecast capacity requirements and develop distribution and logistics plans to execute in compliance with service level commitments.
- Manage logistic strategy.
- Manage logistics and freight forwarding, including invoice review, approval, and reconciliation.
- Serve as designated Free Trade Zone Authorized Representative (as required), which will require a United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) background check. Provide support during CBP audits.
- Maintains direct working relationship with Operations and Maintenance teams concerning the receipt, preventative maintenance, and availability of materials.
- Maintains a direct working relationship with Purchasing and Expediting concerning material delivery schedules and shipments.
- Maintains direct working relationship with Quality regarding documentation and inspection for materials received.
- Maintains a direct working relationship with Accounts Payable regarding documentation for materials received and resolution of invoices discrepancies.
- Maintains direct working relationship with warehouse personnel in the process of receipt, storage custody, and issue of materials.
- Maintains a direct working relationship with carriers and suppliers concerning the receipt and delivery of materials.
- MINIMUM:
- Minimum of 5+ years of combined experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistic processes, preferably within operations in the LNG or oil and gas related industry.
- Experience in demand planning, inventory analysis, logistics, and shipping (both international and domestic).
- Experience operating in warehouse management system (i.e., Oracle, Maximo, SAP-MM, SAP-WMS or equivalent).
- Experience managing warehouse personnel, contractors and suppliers.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimal travel to be expected, mostly to the NextDecade headquarters located in Houston, Texas.
- Time Management and effective communication skills
- Adaptability to manage changes in work environment in regards adhering to updated deadlines or unexpected delays.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, and other data analysis tools.
- PREFERRED:
- Minimum of 10+ years of combined experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistic processes, preferably within operations in the LNG or oil and gas related industry.
- Must be able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions
- Operates in a complex construction environment
- Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions
- Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits
- Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction
- Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios
- Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required
- Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations
- Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift
- The incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities
- Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance
- Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods
- May be required to enter confined spaces
- May be required to work at elevated heights and access elevated structures without assistance
