JOB SUMMARY

The Superintendent, Electrical Maintenance, provides leadership and oversight of electrical maintenance execution activities including personnel, with the objective of maximizing availability of electrical equipment across the facility. This role will be based in Houston initially, relocating to Brownsville, Texas in 2025.The position will initially be located in Houston during early job phases then requires relocation to the Rio Grande LNG (RGLNG) site in Brownsville, TX.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of electrical maintenance team, leads by example to set and maintain a positive safety culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Coach, Mentor and Lead Maintenance team members to reach their full potential.
• Support and continuously review Preventative & Corrective Maintenance Plans aligned with the electrical equipment selected for the facility
• Lead the execution activities for all SCE, Statutory, and Federal Regulations
• Accountable for the electrical maintenance execution activities of all breakdown, corrective, and preventative electrical maintenance in the facility
• Provide support to the leadership of the Turnaround Team prior and during Turnarounds
• Lead electrical teams in the execution of the Major Maintenance of plant and unit shutdowns
• Responsible to safely complete all planned electrical activities on the locked schedule, maximizing tool time and minimizing cost & deferrals.
• Contract Management support for the electrical team.
• Stakeholder in the review of electrical materials and parts optimization
• Demonstrate continuous improvement, value adding programs and cost saving initiatives
• Assist in the development and control of the Maintenance Budget.
• Incident investigation event ownership.
• May require travelling for meetings and/or training.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field or industry related experience

Current Licensed Electrician

• 5+ years LNG Export Facility experience in an Electrical Maintenance Execution lead role, supervising Maintenance personnel
• 10+ years experience in LNG/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries in a supervisory position

Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Electrical Maintenance activities.

Competent at interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documentation i.e. Single Line Diagrams, Switchgear GAs, P&IDs, etc.

• Experience with the testing of electrical related Safety Critical Elements (SCE), Statutory and Federal Regulatory compliance.
• Ability to get a Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC)Time Management and effective communication skills
• Goal Setting and performance management skills
• Exceptional working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP or Similar)
• Experience participating in FMEA or FMECA processes
• Experience in developing Electrical Maintenance Strategies and Electrical Maintenance procedures.
• Working knowledge of an MOC process
• Experience with Gas Insulated (GIS), LV, MV, and HV systems and switchgear
• Experience maintaining large HV and MV transformers
• Experience with UPS systems
• Adaptability to manage changes in work environment in regards adhering to updated deadlines or unexpected delays.
• Computer literate including proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Requirements:

• Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance I&C or similar and NCCER
• Leadership experience of cross functional teams

Work Environment & Physical Demands with or without reasonable accommodations

• Operates in a complex construction environment.
• Work is performed both in control room environment, with computers including DCS, and in the field in sometimes challenging weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to wear all mandatory/necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations.
• Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods.
