NextDecade Engineering Internships

At NextDecade, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability within the energy sector. As part of this mission, we are excited to offer an immersive internship program for aspiring engineers. This program provides hands-on experience across key engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Construction Engineering. These internships will be located in Brownsville, TX supporting our project on site.

What You'll Do: As an Engineering Intern at NextDecade, you will work closely with our expert engineering teams to support a variety of projects that are critical to our operations. Throughout your internship, you will gain exposure to the following areas:

• Mechanical Engineering: Help design and improve mechanical systems. Make sure they work well and assist with related paperwork.
• Civil Engineering: Help plan and build infrastructure. Ensure projects meet standards and assess sites.
• Construction Engineering: Assist with planning and managing construction projects. Keep track of schedules, resources, and safety.

What We're Looking For:

• Students graduating December 2025 through December 2026, pursuing degrees in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Location: These internships are located in Brownsville, TX

Duration and Compensation: This internship program typically lasts 8-10 weeks offering valuable exposure to the LNG and energy industry. Compensation and additional benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
