SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
The Analyst, Corporate Communications, is responsible for creating and generating content for internal and external communications channels, including written and visual content, and supporting all communications and community activities. The position requires strong corporate communications skills built on a foundation of strong writing abilities, team collaboration, meeting deadlines and laser focus on accuracy. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, have the proven ability to generate content for varied communications channels, and design basic collateral in line with corporate branding standards. Responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategies for content creation, publishing to social media accounts and helping design collateral for multiple channels. You are responsible for creating engaging content. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in various social media platforms and utilize analytics to drive engagement and have basic graphic design capabilities and creativity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Content creation for multiple channels
- Conceptualize, draft and design original, branded, digital and printed internal and external communications materials, including emails, newsletters, social media posts, reports, presentations, posters, documents, forms, and signage
- Participate in the conceptualization and execution of creative solutions, working closely with the team to develop ideas and creative storytelling
- Works with other departments and employees to create content and campaigns to serve business line objectives
- Ensures messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate, and aligned with company strategies and brand
- Ensure that the NextDecade and its subsidiaries’ brands are always presented and communicated according to established brand guidelines
- Monitors trends in social media and applies those trends to strengthen and increase NextDecade’s social media presence.
- Contribute to the analysis of the effectiveness of the communications team's efforts.
- Complete other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum experience required for the position:
- 2+ years of professional corporate communications experience in content creation for multiple channels, basic graphic design, and working with corporate brand identities and guidelines.
- Energy industry and corporate experience preferred.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Suite including SharePoint, basic skills using Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Premier Pro.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- Excellent content creation and copywriting skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, priorities, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly generate ideas and content and accept re-direction with adjusting
- business needs.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with key social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.
- Understanding of how design, layout, photography, and video work with copy in producing effective communications.
- Photography and videography skills.
- Must be able to share diverse set of writing samples and show portfolio of design work.
Required/preferred education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or Marketing.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
You may need to travel about 15% of the time.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.
Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations:
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.
- While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent may be required to talk or listen.
- Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
- Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
