SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Structuring and Analytics Manager to lead our analytical efforts in the dynamic energy landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of quantitative and analytical tasks, with a focus on risk management, structuring, pricing, and modeling commercial structures and transactions within natural gas, LNG, power, and charter markets. This leadership role demands a well-developed understanding commodity markets, financial modeling, quantitative finance, and the ability to analyze complex datasets and markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop complex pricing and structuring gas, transportation, LNG, power, and charter transactions.
- Conduct options pricing analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Utilize advanced quantitative finance techniques to optimize trading strategies.
- Develop financial and valuation models for commodity transactions to optimize value and support decision-making processes.
- Analyze and interpret trends and developments within gas markets, LNG markets, LNG shipping markets, emissions markets, and more.
- Develop and maintain market fundamental models and short/mid/long range balance models.
- Develop scenario analysis modeling and strategies to evaluate potential risks.
- Develop pipeline flow models and locational pricing for gas markets.
- Create executive summary materials and presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum/preferred experience required for the position:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience structuring and pricing commodity market products.
Minimum/preferred knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:
- A profound understanding of the global energy and power sectors, with a particular focus on LNG and natural gas.
- In-depth expertise in the commercial aspects of LNG trading, US gas trading, charter contracts, US power markets, and LNG operations.
- Proven ability to analyze complex datasets and market trends, extracting key insights and economic rationales for decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for complex financial modeling and presentations.
- A highly motivated and reliable self-starter with exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough market analysis.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining fundamental market models.
- Expertise in short- and long-term balance and price forecasting using statistical and qualitative methodologies.
- Ability to operate and maintain simulation models for pipelines, storage facilities, and regional markets.
Required/preferred education:
- Graduate/Postgraduate level in a quantitative, economic, or financial, field (finance, mathematics, Statistics, , physics, , computer science or similar).
