Product Manager
Kelvin
TL;DR
We’re looking for a Houston-based Product Manager with a background in engineering, data science, or industrial automation who excels at customer engagement and market-facing product strategy. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines with prospects and clients—leading product demos, capturing real-world feedback, and turning those insights into impactful features. You’ll also have a strong voice in shaping our roadmap, ensuring new feature requests align with both user needs and business goals. Experience in Data, Analytics and Digital Products is highly preferred. Background in Energy, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing or industrial automation is a plus, and prior exposure to startup environments or international teams is highly valued.
The Role
As a Product Manager at Kelvin, you’ll be the primary advocate for our customers—listening to their pain points, identifying opportunities, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver real-world value. You’ll bridge GTM and development efforts by clarifying feature priorities, refining product positioning, and ensuring our roadmap stays aligned with market demands. Whether it’s demonstrating the platform to new prospects or relaying urgent feedback to engineers, you’ll play a central role in guiding the evolution of Kelvin’s solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct engaging product demos for prospects and customers, highlighting how Kelvin’s platform addresses their unique challenges.
- Gather and synthesize feedback from external stakeholders, turning those insights into clear product requirements and feature requests.
- Collaborate with Development and Design to clarify user needs, define requirements, and shape our product roadmap.
- Support GTM initiatives by creating or refining sales enablement materials (competitive analysis, product positioning decks, use cases, etc.).
- Be a strong internal advocate for the customer, ensuring stakeholder alignment on priority features and enhancements.
- Stay on top of market and competitive trends, guiding strategic decisions about new features or product directions.
- Partner with international and cross-functional teams, leveraging your startup or global experience to drive efficiency and collaboration.
What You Bring
- Background in engineering, data science, industrial automation, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or a closely related external-facing product role, ideally in data products, industrial automation, IoT, or SaaS.
- Demonstrated skill in running software demos for both technical and business audiences.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, especially when bridging Sales, Engineering, and customers.
- Proven experience translating user feedback into actionable requirements and product roadmap contributions.
- Startup or global collaboration experience—working with fast-paced teams or international stakeholders is a plus.
- Houston-based, with the flexibility to meet clients and internal teams on-site.
You’ll Thrive If
- You’re energized by customer interactions and enjoy being the go-to product expert.
- You excel at distilling complex feedback into concise product goals.
- You love demonstrating software and are comfortable in presales conversations.
- You can balance user requests with technical feasibility and broader business objectives.
- You’re adept at identifying trends in IoT, industrial automation, or adjacent markets, and translating them into product opportunities.
- You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, including international or startup-style environments.
What This Role Doesn’t Include
- Formal project management—no overseeing budgets, timelines, or broad project execution.
- Carrying a sales quota—your focus is on supporting GTM teams, not closing deals.
- Taking on a customer success function—you won’t serve as a dedicated account manager or CSM.
