You've spent year mastering the complexities of industrial environments, you know the critical importance of uptime, the risks and the challenges faced in your industry. As a Field Technician for Industrial Robotics, you leverage your practical experience in plants, mills, or substations to bring advanced mobile robots into operation around the world. You will be the hands-on expert responsible installing and configuring our ANYmal robots, and ensuring site operators feel empowered to work with their new robotic co-worker. You will work closely with our Field Engineers and Customer Success Managers, focusing on robot usage and uptime, and setup quality.
You will be based in our new office in Barcelona. Most of your work will happen on customer sites worldwide, and regular travel to our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, is expected for training and close exchange with the Customer Success team.

The Market & Our Technology
ANYbotics transforms industrial environments in the energy, process and utility sector by introducing robotics to a wide range of novel applications that so far were beyond reach. Our mobile robot ANYmal uses legs for extreme mobility in complex environments, camera- and LIDAR-based sensing for full autonomy and obstacle avoidance, and AI for high-quality and consistent inspection results. The software enabling ANYmal to perform autonomous inspection missions is almost exclusively developed in-house. Our customers are large asset operators and industrial service providers pioneering the use of robotics technology for inspection and maintenance.
Your Contributions
- Deploy & Configure: Set up and troubleshoot ANYmal robots in diverse industrial environments, tune and expand missions, ensuring high success rates and robot uptime.
- Train & Educate: Conduct safety briefings and robot training, and introduce site operators to their new robotic co-workers, bridging the gap between high-tech and daily operations and building confidence in the technology.
- Adapt & Learn: Travel frequently, often on short notice, to customer sites worldwide, embracing diverse and sometimes challenging environments to deliver exceptional service, working closely with the customer success team to ensure the best outcomes for customers.
- Share & Improve: Collect and communicate valuable insights from the field, informing product decisions.
- Reach out: Represent ANYbotics at industry events, showcasing the future of inspection to the sectors you understand best.
Your Profile
- Technical background through vocational training, technical school, or equivalent hands-on experience (mechanics, electronics, mechatronics, robotics)
- Industrial background, specifically within the Utilities sector (Power Generation, Transmission) or the Materials sector (Metals, Pulp & Paper, Packaging, Cement, or similar).
- Proactive, reliable, and adaptable
- Fluent in English, effective communicator able to adapt to diverse audiences (technical proficiency, cultural background, etc.)
- Enthusiastic about frequent travel (up to 80%) to various field locations, including industrial and remote environments. Comfortable adapting to different cultural contexts
- Legal right to live and work in Spain (requirement)
- Driver’s license (Class B)
Bonus Points
- Experience with deploying robots or other automation systems
- Experience with Linux and command-line usage
- Familiarity with network infrastructure
- Proficiency in German or other languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.)
